The Cape Fear Health Policy Council
The Cape Fear Health Policy Council (CFHPC) was formed in 2009 as an affiliate of Cape Fear Healthy Carolinians. The purpose was to provide a forum for the discussion and resolution of health policy issues in the region or elsewhere.
Participants include representatives of Cape Fear Region non-profit organizations, health-care related social service departments and agencies, and the public. CFHPC seeks to inform and to improve networking and cooperation among participants with common health policy interests.
When participants express an interest in pursuing particular issues, follow up actions may include discussions at subsequent meetings, information dissemination, or a committee may be formed to continue the dialog to an outcome. Where appropriate, contact with state or federal representatives is undertaken to seek solutions or further information.
